The Training & Placement Cell

 

Shri Vaishnav Institute of Management, Indore has an independent Training & Placement Cell devoted to cater to the needs of organizations in conducting campus interviews for placements. A Professor designated as Training & Placement Officer heads it. The Cell is assisted by Placement Coordinators who lead a team of placement representatives from various courses of study. The Training & Placement Cell ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangements and hospitality for the visiting companies' officials.

 

 The Training & Placement Cell provides all audiovisual facilities for PowerPoint Presentations, written test, group discussion and interviews. It plays a very important and key role in counseling and guiding the students of the institute for their successful career placement that is a crucial interface between the stages of completion of academic program of the students and their entry into the suitable employment. This Cell also coordinates various activities related to the career of the students along with the industrial training.

        Many reputed national and multinational companies visit SVIM for campus recruitment annually. Over 70% of the students secure job offers before they complete their program of studies and leave their Alma Mater.

        SVIM is rated as one among the best management institutes in the Central India.

 

Training & Placement Activities

In addition to campus placements the T&P section organizes programs mock interviews, group discussions, etc. and also organize the programs like :

 

A) "Personality development".

B) "Interpersonal & Communication skills".

C) Career planning and Career Mapping.

D) Program on "Technology Management".

 

PLACEMENT PROCEDURE

 

           a) The Placement Cell invites companies to the institutes or the companies can contact the institute Training & Placement Officer for their requirement.

 

           b) To the responding companies, the details of the final year students opting for placement are sent as per their requirement.

 

           c) The company is assigned a convenient date.

 

           d) After confirmation by the company, a pre-placement talk is arranged on the date.

 

           e) The company conducts test and/or group discussion to short list the interested students.

 

           f) The company then interviews the short listed students for final selection.

 

      g) The result is usually announced on the same day.

           The Training & placement service operates year round to facilitate contacts between companies and students. Placement Coordinators and staff is available to respond to students' queries of all kinds. This may include advice on placement procedures, help with preparation of applications and resumes, and practice for interviews. The aim is to ensure that students have the information and skills necessary for an effective job search.
